Information for Prospective Students

Students interested in earning their PhD in Physiology typically matriculate through the Integrated Biomedical Sciences (IBS) Graduate Program. During their first year, IBS students obtain a broad background in biomedical science through didactic courses. In addition, they do 3-4 eight week laboratory rotations, which provides the experience needed to choose a research program and mentor. Students who join a lab in Physiology generally do so by the end of their first (IBS) year.
